Supporting Police and Fire
Providing a safe and secure community is the biggest responsibility an elected official has. This responsibility has taken a new meaning for Dan after becoming a father which is why he plans to continue making sure our Police and Fire Departments have the resources they need to keep our families safe.
Dan will continue finding ways to improve benefits and fund the salary increases for public safety employees who risk their lives every day for our residents.
Accomplishments
Added new leadership to modernize our Fire & Police departments. Unlike in the past, Firefighters no longer have to pay for their own gear; and Police Officers have guns that actually fit their holsters.
Increased focus on training, restoring integrity, and strengthening our community.
Increased benefits and creatively funded pay increases for our first responders, making us competitive among our surrounding cities.
Issued new certificates of obligation for construction of a new central fire station and training tower all without raising taxes.
